Our primary mission is to promote the abilities of local designers, design students and small-medium sized design enterprises to cultivate their innovation efforts and to expand their global expertise. Throughout decade, we have accomplished a myriad of projects in regards to promoting public, cultural and traditional aspects of design which has paved the way for sustainable growth and innovation.
Design is beyond aesthetics. It values creative ideas that not only ramps up the added-values of products and services but also enhances industrial competence by taking accountability in providing technical solutions.
We envision that the Gwangju Institute of Design Promotion (GIDP) as the forefront organization will evolve design ecosystem with its own cutting-edge strategies that centers on sustainable environment, social and public design - with the support of the Gwangju City Administration. In light of this, we continue to contributing to the growth of the local Gwangju economy and society as well as elevating the life of citizens.
